Why won't my German PS3 work on my American Philips TV? - hdmi german tv reciever
Interestingly, while I was in a hotel in Phoenix, Arizona, have been working with cable connection, three (red, white and yellow). I have not tried the HDMI here. With me it is not, nor has the HDMI working. Do I need to get a chip installed, you can buy an HDMI cable or what?

You need a different power cable, to my knowledge, the U.S. and the EU uses different power cable.
